Go online and get info for your newsletter about, activities like CAMPING, Playing board games, EASY DIETS, ways to save money on GASOLINE, list of local radio shows, Tips on picking good restaurants, BIKING, movie reviews etc. Good luck!

    How about:
-Find out where the various fireworks will be in your community (if you have time)
-List some fun things to do and places to go
-Sun tips, for the beach or pool
-If you allow pets, have people send pictures in of their pet, even in a cute outfit or some funny theme
    -Ways to save on gasoline
    - Ask for tennants to send tips on how to occupy kids during the summer months (or find some of your own)
    - Kids’ corner - crafts, other ideas
    - Ask the tennants if they have any ideas of things they would like to see in the newsletter

For ideas on topics of interest to the residents, pick up a few copies of magazines like Woman’s Day, Family Circle, etc. I am not saying to copy the articles but use the topics to write your own articles on things of general interest. Let your residents help you write the newsletter by writing articles relating to their occupations, hobbies, etc. Why not a technology corner to write about computer tips or software reviews or instructions on how to burn DVDs or use editing software? Why not a think green column with ways to save money and energy? Why not ask local businesses to sponsor a contest or offer coupons for the newsletter??? Why not some kind of information on pets or diet or exercise or cooking tips??? There are many general interest topics that you can write about and then branch out to neighboring apartment complexes and condos and beyond. Look for articles online in which authors will let you freely distribute articles in exchange for their weblinks. Check out other newsletters from neighboring complexes to see what kinds of things you can distribute not just for July but for month after month after month. Write about estate planning, personal finance, personal classifieds (for sale by owner), movie reviews, local activities at the library or workshops, and why not include a little survey about what residents would like to see in future issues and if they’d be willing to write articles for you. People love to see their name and ideas in print.

Current events are always something ppl want to read about. Otherwise, a great place to get ideas is amazon.com - search books of interest- whether it be recipes, history of your location, ways to save money, gas prices, or how to live life fuller, and check out the descriptions and chapter headings… one of my hobbies is writing, and that helps spark some ideas in your head that’ll get your mind turning.. If the chapter headings are good enough to be published in a book , they sure are good enough to talk about!
