I want users to be automatically subscribed to the newsletter when registering to wordpress, but to able to use a third party newsletter system. Basically I’m using wordpress just to create a newsletter system with a database and a more detailed registration.

If you have a suggestion besides using wordpress or joomla (that’s a free alternative), then please let me know! Thank you!

I don’t know anything so I need to know about things like server space, renting a server, designing the newsletter, sending it to thousands of people, getting feedback, allowing users to sign up, handling the emails, unsubscribing, etc.

Ever seen one of those email Newsletters? Some offering discount vouchers, while others promotional adverts with dynamic content (flash, swf, javascript, CSS, etc.) and the email is WITHOUT attachments…

Can outlook achieve this without sending attachments? What do I need?

I want to make a monthly editable newsletter or a site? via email 30 family members. It must be easy for them to receive and open; private and secure, (login/restration required)so only family will have access to it. sort of like a wiki-style editable family geneology encyclopedia- one for each of the 2 branches of my family tree.

The newsletter will be to link the various isolated
training sites who work with the seniors to
teach them computer basics, internet and email.
I’m looking for a catchy name.
Seniors are 55+ and they learn the
basics of computers including how to
get on the Internet and use email.
Instructors are volunteers.

I usually type and print my newsletters in WORD but would like to try using Adobe so I can email them as well. Not sure which
Adobe product I need to purchase for this simple task. Please help…
