I am involved in a writing club at school run independently by myself and fellow students. We just started and were wondering what things would make a good addition to our newsletter. We have submitted works of our own, quotes, as well as some scholarship information. What else could we add in? All feedback is highly appreciated. Thanks for your help!
I forgot to mention that this is a creative writing newsletter, so a lot of the info needs to be related to stories, poems, song lyrics, etc.

I’m thinking about starting a monthly student newsletter at my school, and I’m looking for ideas about what to feature in it? It would be for years 8-11, so 14-17 year olds, and it’s a boys school. I was thinking that maybe every edition i could publish a bit of a teacher’s facebook page or website…maybe an embarrasing ‘about me’ section (with their consent). Any other ideas? i would also write on upcoming school events, and i might get someone to write every week about a school issue like should sport be compulsary and do detentions work etc.
thanks

I am a student who will be teaching high school soon. I have to create a parent newsletter for a class assignment and would like to include tips for the parents. Teachers always complain that parents, especially ones of high schoolers, are not as involved. I think parents would be involved if they knew how best to approach the situation. Any suggestions on how parents can be more involved in their high school students academic career? Thanks!!!
People like Jacqueline make my day! She criticizes my use of the English language…and in the process makes multiple grammatical mistakes herself…not to mention the last part which I didn’t understand at all. For starters…when there not at work… I assume you mean…they’re which means they are…not over there. Oh, and tech has an a and…you made that mistake twice! And finally… some thing is actually one word. Maybe next time you criticize someone for their command of the English language…you might want to do a spell check yourself before you hit the send button. But, thanks for the laugh.
