You can have a section for updates (WHATS NEW), any new things happening within the church, new ushers, deacons etc. You can have a community section (GET INVOLVED!), whats happening in the area and what the congregation can do to support these events. Have a section about church activites (MARK YOUR CALENDARS!) have dates for when church events are taking place, if there will be a guest minister etc. And then have a section for times of services and and other ministries (youth, womens, mens etc.). I would also incorporate photos with captions maybe of a recent church event (not too many, depending on how lengthy the newsleter will be). Have a sectoin of prayer requests and perhaps a wishlist. I there is a need of a copier, computer, etc. for the church. Just a few ideas. Hope it helps. Oh and laslty make sure it is formated that is appealing to the eye. You want people to acutally read it and not consider it junk mail.

Oh honey, I hope people treat you right here.
You could do a topic about praying for the servicemen and women overseas. Maybe set up a little candle prayer service.
I always thought something on area charities looking for some assistance would be a good thing. Community stuff.
Best of luck.
